COMPETITION PROGRAM OF THE FESTIVAL
CLASSICAL DANCE
CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Participants, who participate in the competition program of the Festival, will be divided into three groups by age.
CLASSICAL DANCE
Group 1: Age 8 - 11
І round - one free classical variation no longer than 4 minutes. (different from the variation in the ІІ part)
ІІ round - one variation from the classical heritage of XІХ - ХХ century.
Group 2: Age 12 - 14
І round - one free classical variation no longer than 4 minutes. (different from the variation in the ІІ part)
ІІ round - one variation from the classical heritage of XІХ- ХХ century.
Group 3: Age 15 - 19
І round - two free classical variations no longer than 4 minutes. (different from the variations in the ІІ part)
ІІ round - two variations from the classical heritage of XІХ - ХХ century.
NEW IN 2022!
From 2022, performers in the third age group can perform adagio instead of two variations. Participants will be assessed separately.
IMPORTANT! Above mentioned doesn't apply to the variation, performed out of the competition program.
Participation in the first and the second round is mandatory and there is no elimination principle.
The assessment is on a 25-point system for each dance.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Group 1: Age 8 - 11

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA:
1. Artistic presence;
2. Performance technique;
3. Choreography;
4. Suitable repertoire to the age of the competitor in the category "Classical Dance";
5. Ingenuity and novelty in the category "Modern Dance";
6. Compliance with the rules of the festival;
7. Musical setting.
Children, who will participate in the preparatory class, are allowed to perform one dance on stage, without Jury's assessment.
All participants may dance out of the competition program without Jury's assessment.
